MIKE MEYER STEVE LEWALLEN STEVE GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS IN 1976 WITH A BACHELORS DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENG. HE BEGAN HIS FOUNDRY CAREER IN 1981 WITH GENERAL MOTORS POWER TRAIN DIVISION IN DANVILLE, ILLINOIS. HE SPENT THREE YEARS WITH GM AS ELECTRICAL ENG. ENERGY ENG. AND ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. HE LEFT GM TO JOIN WYMAN GORDON COMPANY WHERE DURING HIS 8 YEARS HE WAS THEIR ELECTRICAL ENG. AND EVENTUALLY GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND PLANT ENG. IN 1989, STEVE ACCEPTED A POSITION AT NEENAH FOUNDRY AS THEIR MANAGER OF ENG. HIS RESPONSIBILITIES GREW TO INCLUDE ENVIRONMENTAL AND PLANT ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENG. AND THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS GROUP. IN 2002, HE ASSUMED THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR, CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE, A NEWLY CREATED POSITION TO OVERSEE THE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES OF ALL NEENAH FOUNDRY COMPANIES. AND MIKE
GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN – MILWAUKEE WITH A DEGREE IN
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. WHILE IN SCHOOL HE WAS
A CO-OP WITH GREDE AS A MECHANICAL
ENGINEER WITHIN THE CORPORATE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AT LIBERTY AND MILWAUKEE
STEEL FOUNDRIES. AFTER SCHOOL, HE JOINED GREDE FULL TIME AT THE LIBERTY
PLANT AS A PLANT ENGINEER. WHILE WORKING AT LIBERTY, HE HAS WORKED ON
PROJECTS OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING AND EVENTUALLY MOVED INTO
THE MANUFACTURING RANKS AS PLANT SUPERINTENDENT AT THE MILWAUKEE ALLOY FACILITY,
WHICH IS THEIR NO BAKE SHORT RUN FOUNDRY. IN 2006, MIKE TOOK OVER AS THE
FACTORY MANAGER AT LIBERTY FOUNDRY DIVISION. |
