GEORGE GOODRICH GEORGE GRADUATED WITH HIS BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING IN 1963 AND HIS MASTERS IN 1965 IN METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING FROM MICHIGAN TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY. UPON GRADUATING HE WORKED FOR 8 YEARS AT GENERAL MOTORS RESEARCH LABORATORIES CONDUCTING RESEARCH ON DUCTILE IRON AND GRAY IRON INOCULATION, MAGNESIUM TREATMENT OF DUCTILE IRON, DEVELOPING PROCESSES FOR HORIZONTALLY CONTINUOUSLY CASTING STEEL BARS AND NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING AUTOMATION TO NAME A FEW. AFTER GENERAL MOTORS GEORGE WORKED AT AFS & CMI IN CHICAGO AS A LIAISON WITH THE CAST IRON COMMITTEES, PROGRAMMING THE CASTING CONGRESS AND MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE CAST METAL INSTITUTE. THEN GEORGE MOVED ON TO TAUSSIG & ASSOCIATES AS AN INDUSTRY METALLURGICAL CONSULTANT CONDUCTING FAILURE ANALYSIS, DEFECT ANALYSIS AND PROCESS DEVELOPMENT WORK. AFTER TAUSSIG, GEORGE BECAME THE PRESIDENT OF PROFESSIONAL METALLURGICAL SERVICES FOR 9 YEARS. CURRENTLY, GEORGE IS THE SENIOR METALLURGICAL ENGINEER OF STORK CLIMAX RESEARCH SERVICES IN WIXOM, MICHIGAN. GEORGE
HAS AUTHORED MANY TECHNICAL PAPERS FOR THE METAL CASTING INDUSTRY.
HE IS A MEMBER AND PAST CHAIRMAN OF THE AFS STEEL DIVISION AND THE AFS
CAST IRON DIVISION.
