Ashland’s Casting Solutions business taps Taiwan distributor TEMC for alliance

DUBLIN, Ohio (USA) – Ashland’s presence in the Asian foundry marketplace continues to increase as Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), announces an agreement with TEMC, Metal and Chemical Corp. of Taiwan. The agreement provides TEMC an exclusive right to distribute Ashland Casting Solutions binders and EXACTCAST®  sleeve technologies to Taiwanese foundries.

The strong relationship of TEMC with Taiwanese foundries will enable Ashland Casting Solutions to sell products in these areas more effectively. Ashland’s Casting Solutions to market SELEE ceramic foam filters

DUBLIN, Ohio – Ashland’s focus on customer solutions is being further enhanced by a marketing agreement between Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), and SELEE Corporation. The agreement provides Ashland with exclusive rights to market SELEE’s ceramic foam filters for foundry applications in Europe and Asia and non-exclusive rights to distribute the products in North America.

“SELEE’s ceramic foam filters are a great match to our customer-solutions approach to enhancing foundry production. Through this agreement, we add additional design services capabilities so we can now more readily work with our customers from concept to manufacturing,” said Mike Swartzlander, vice president, Ashland Specialty Chemical, and general manager, Ashland Casting Solutions.

SELEE is a recognized high-quality producer of ceramic foam filters in the Americas iron and steel foundry market. The agreement with Ashland will expand that presence within North America and globally. Additionally, Ashland’s technical support services for the castings industry will expand to cover SELEE’s ceramic foam filters.
