| Dear Ductile Iron Society:
Last year I received the Keith D. Millis scholarship at the CIC in Chicago. I wanted to attend a Chicago meeting in the spring to thank and meet some representatives, but Uncle Sam had other plans for me. I left with the U.S. Marines out of Peoria, IL to Kuwait and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. My squad made it to Baghdad and back with the 6th Engineer Support Battalion. We even had reporters embedded with us. I have attached some pictures from the deployment. I figured the Society might like to know what or where one of their recipients was doing last spring. At this time, I am finishing up with
mechanical engineering at Bradley University in Peoria, IL.
Thanks again and support your troops.
