Siempelkamp Pours World Record Ductile Iron Casting
 
Siempelkamp, of Krefeld, Germany has announced the pouring of a press base for their sister company Siempelkamp Press Systems. Two similar beds were cast in 1998, each with a weight of 255 metric tons. Photo #1 shows the pouring of one of the castings using five large ladles and photo #2 shows one of the finished castings.
